Higher energy level:-If in a higher energy level, excitation occur or any electron have higher energy than the ground states are excited by absorbing a photon whose energy is equal to energy difference between levels.
Answer and Explanation:As the distance from nucleus increases then the levels get closer together and contain more energetic electrons. The energy of an electron is the one of the levels at a considerable distance from nucleus is greater then electron in closer level.
