Imagine a situation of conflict between you and your boss. Discuss how understanding the elements of self-concept, its complexity, consistency and clarity may be useful in such a situation?

Answer : Self concept refers to how some think about evaluates and perceive themselves. In other words positive self concept will help person to have healthy and satisfying intraction. It will enable mutual understanding which could help in resolving the conflict. It will also enables to deal with conflict in effective manner. Role performance and personal identity are responsible for distinct characters of individual from others. This plays vital role in resolving conflict.Complexity consists of variability, vulnerability and correlation that can be helpful in resolving conflicts by predicting variability of the situation and how much correlated it is.Consistency and clarity of self concept will make another person clear about the idea to be considered and the root cause of conflict. It helps in delivering correct and precise resolution to the conflict. High consistency will reflect when there are similar personality traits, values and attributes that will be helpful in resolving conflicts.Hence in above way self concept and it's elements are useful during situation of conflict.Kindly rate my answer please

Working in organization brings up lots of opportunity at the same time, it comes up with lots of challenges and problems to deal with.

Conflict between boss and a subordinate is also not a new thing, it is depicted from the data that 90% of subordinates are not happy with their managers.

Understanding few elements to avoid such conflicts: -

Self-concept: - It is important for an individual to understand that what is their value in the organization, why they have joined the organization, what is it, they are getting from the organization and how it is adding value to them. Once they are clear about their own worth and motives, it helps to avoid unnecessary conflicts in the organization.

Complexity: - To understand one’s own worth is not an easy thing, there are times when it leads to confusion of what we are meant for, why we are working for the organization and it creates self-doubt and low self-esteem which is not good. One has to understand this in deeper level.

Consistency: - Once the person got the answer of who they are, they have to be vigilant and consistent with what they want and how they are going to proceed it, then only they will be able to get more clarity with what they want.

Consistency means regular in what they do.

Clarity: - It is also important for people to understand the clarity in what they do, because then only they will be able to proceed further and excel in what they do.

Life is not always about what we want but it is important for all of persona out there to analysis their own potential and try to get the best version of themselves. It is not important how much you earn money, the important is how much you are in awareness and happy.
